Saftey

It’s About Community and Character

We’re building a community grounded in respect, honesty, and personal responsibility, values that have long defined strong American traditions. Everyone here deserves to be treated with decency, regardless of background or beliefs.

All participants must follow local and state laws. Minor issues may lead to a warning or removal from the event. Serious violations such as theft, assault, or any violent crime will be reported to the police without hesitation.

You don’t need to keep up with every new social trend to belong here. What matters is acting with integrity, listening to others, and treating people the way you would want to be treated. If someone steps out of line or ignores clear boundaries, report it. Problems can only be fixed when they’re known.

This space is for imagination, fair play, and good storytelling, not for grudges or personal attacks. Keep your roleplay creative and respectful, and don’t use the game as a way to target or insult others.

Ultimately, this is about friendship, good conduct, and shared adventure. Respect yourself, respect others, and contribute to a space where honor and fair play matter most. Cross the line, and you’ll lose the privilege to stay.

Eligibility and Safety Clause

Any individual who is legally prohibited from being on school grounds, or who is subject to a restraining order involving another attendee, may not participate in or be present at the event. This rule is in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants and to maintain compliance with local laws.

Participation

Event Staff is the on-site authority, and the police will be called to handle any real life issues.

Medieval Garb

  • Garb is required on the battlefield. Requirements off the battlefield will vary by event. Some staff may make camp, gatherings, or the whole event garb-required.

  • Staff may allow exceptions for weather or special needs.

  • Spectators, guardians, and service staff: event staff decide if they need garb.

Heralds

  • The Herald is the primary authority for interpreting and enforcing these rules on the battlefield. Heralds and event organizers have final say.

  • A Herald may remove anyone from the field.

Ejection

Event organizers may eject or exclude a person from an event for:

  • Breaking laws that affect the event, its people, or its use of the site.

  • Endangering people, property, or the event’s use of the site.

  • Abusive language or other unbecoming behavior, using a reasonable-person standard.

  • Disobeying Dagorhir-related requests from those in charge.

  • Anything else that harms the event or Dagorhir as a whole, using a reasonable-person standard.

Weapons & Armor Check

Nothing goes on the field until it passes a safety check

Weapons

  • All weapons, shields, and projectiles must pass before use. Checkers may reject any piece for safety or construction.

  • Gear is checked at full force based on its classification.

  • Weapons that are altered in any way during the day must be rechecked.

Healing Poem

  • The Poem of Healing must be approved at event check-in.

Armor

  • Armor must pass armor check. At an inter-realm event, heralds from two realms.
