Dagorhir Events

Groups across the nation hold events open to the public, and first-time fighters sometimes have their battle fee, if there is one, waived. While all local battles are open to any participant, there are battles such as a Crown War, that decide the “king” or “queen” of a realm. Then there are larger-scale regional events which typically draw over 100 fighters, as well as national events.

The Types of Events

There are three major types of Dagorhir event.  A practice, day battle, and campout.  Outside of this there are many flavors of meet-up geared toward a particular aspect of the game when like minds find one another.

All Dagorhir events are open to the public (see participation clause) and usually posted on and event site of social media such as Facebook.

Practice

A practice is on average held by a local group of players who meet on a set schedule.  Traditionally practice is held once a week, and can vary from a Wednesday evening to a Sunday afternoon.

This is the best place to show up for first timers looking to learn about and try out Dagorhir.  Along with veteran players who are looking to increase their skill level.

Day Battle

A Day Battle or Day Event is open to the public and hosted by an areas players who usually charge $5-10 per head for event costs.  Events with a cost usually serve lunch/snacks.

These events are scheduled in advanced at three month ahead of time.  The goal being for other groups in the surrounding area (3 hour drive) to meet up at the location and have one big battle!

These events will have Battle Games like capture the flag and Heralds officiating the games.

Campout

The crown jewel of events.  These multi day events involve camping on site or staying in a near by establishment.

Everything you get at a Day Battle you get repeated multiple days in a row at a campout, additionally each night groups will continue to fight under lights in local arenas or night fighting fields.

Night life such as performers, tournaments, games, and so on ensure participants never make tit o bed on time.
