Event Checklist

Before setting out for the gathering, every warrior, crafter, and traveler should take stock of their gear. This checklist serves as your guide to readiness—ensuring your weapons are safe, your garb is packed, and your camp is well supplied. Preparation is part of the game; arriving prepared shows respect for yourself, your realm, and those who fight beside you.

Event Attendees

Every event begins with the individual. Before tents rise and battles begin, each participant carries the responsibility of being prepared. The following checklist is meant to help every attendee arrive ready. Equipped with safe gear, proper garb, and the essentials for living well through the weekend. A warrior’s readiness is more than what they carry; it reflects discipline, courtesy, and respect for those who share the field.

Look through each section carefully and pack with intention. Remember that the comfort and safety of the event depend on everyone doing their part. When every participant comes ready, the realm thrives, and the spirit of the game shines through in every contest and campfire.

Practice - Checklist

If you plan to participate in fighting then you'll need the below items.  If you're just come to hangout, watch, support a friend then bring whatever you would bring to be outdoors at the park.

For First Timers

  • A comfortable outfit that is weather appropriate that you are okay with getting some wear and tear.

  • Water (a bottle or two should suffice)

  • Shoes/Boots (any non cleat), should be comfortable for activity.

  • Pro-tip: Always a good idea to eat in advance and with a enough time for it to settle before fighting.  No one likes to run out of energy mid battle.

For Player's with Experience:

  • Everything the first-timers need plus:

  • Your fighting gear (weapons, shields, armor, etc.)

The list of niceties one could bring never ends, but this should get you most of the way there.

Day Battle - Checklist

A Day Battle is going to be about twice as much or more fighting than you'd get at an active fighter practice. You'll want to bring everything you would for practice plus:

  • Enough water for the day per person, take the weather into account.  Cold weather causes us to use just as much water.

  • A change of clothes if its a long drive.

  • Food/Snack if you don't know that food will be supplied.

    • Again eating ahead of time is super helpful.

  • Garb is required at Day Battles and Campouts.

  • Precheck your gear, no need to bring failing gear.

  • Mark all your weapons ahead of time using blue, green, red, or yellow tape according to the rules.

  • Camping chair, there may be no seating in the park.

Again, whatever you would bring to be comfortable outdoors at the park.

Campout - Checklist

A Campout is going to be about twice as much or more fighting than you'd get at an active Day Battle practice, sometimes 3 or 4 days of fighting. You'll want to bring everything you would for Day Battle plus:

  • Enough water per day per person, take the weather into account.  Cold weather causes us to use just as much water.

  • A change of clothes if its a long drive.

  • Food per day, if you don't know that food will be supplied.

  • Garb is required at Day Battles and Campouts.

  • Precheck your gear, no need to bring failing gear.

  • Mark all your weapons ahead of time using blue, green, red, or yellow tape according to the rules.

  • Camping chair, there may be no seating in the park.

  • Tent

  • Flashlight

These events will have Battle Games like capture the flag and Heralds officiating the games.
